Le Père Lucien really is quality stuff!
The ingredients are simple: coconut oil, saponified with potassium alone; no sodium. Scents are added and some chemicals to stabilise, where necessary. They also put in coconut fatty acids, which I gather are not saponified.
In shave performance is excellent! Post-shave feel is excellent!
I have very well conditioned skin and so often like a more drying soap, certainly a more alcoholic aftershave - some soaps are so full of nonsense like shea butter, mango butter and all manner of kernel oils that they really are more suited to the Mrs that to a fellow who wants to shave.
LPL cuts through all that ...
Rose de Pushkar is a very nice scent, more reminiscent of some of those scents you'll find in rose attars than other shaving soaps. I have a couple of rose soaps that I like: Wickham’s & Nanny’s, both green stem English Rose and in no way feminine.
